Walkin’Bag Enjoys Success at Travel Goods Association Industrial Show
- New Sales Operation in the Intermountain West -
March 20, 2009 -- Walkin’Bag, a division of Swany America Corporation, has announced the opening of its new sales office in Layton, Utah. Walkin’Bag executives are pleased to have a strong U.S. presence and operations in the West. The new sales and marketing team was in full swing at this year’s Travel Goods Association (TGA) industrial trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada in mid-March. The annual industrial trade show offered a perfect venue to showcase Walkin’Bags’ innovative travel products to buyersand distributers.
National Sales Manager Sid Magill said, “Our booth was busy with interested parties who liked our products’ ‘lean on’ it design. Buyers aren’t clinging to current lines. Instead, they’re eagerly looking for products and new concepts that give customers benefits and function.”
“We knew buyers would be searching for new and innovative products that will catch customer’s attention and entice them into the stores,” said Walkin'Bag Product Director Toru Sasaki. “Our booth had a steady flow of buyers because our products serve a purpose other than just carrying stuff.
When you’re traveling and moving around, that makes a difference.”
Walkin’Bags are known for their “lean on” feature and “sit-on” feature making the bags distinct and different. Sasaki noticed, “The buzz was obvious. People would say, ‘Wow! You’ve got a built-in seat!? That bag’s so light-weight! With four wheels you don’t have to drag your bag!’ Overall, we were so pleased with the overall reception of our products.”
Company executives wanted to give buyers a new reason to buy travel goods. Walkin’Bag products give them that reason. They reduce stress and require 1/6 the effort of traditional travel bags. The Swivel Glide technology allows the bags to “glide” effortlessly alongside the user.
About Swany America
The CEO and President of Swany, Etsuo Miyoshi, invented the Walkin’Bag to meet his own personal needs. As a businessman and polio survivor, he wanted a bag he could lean on. Mr. Miyoshi said, “From business to everyday living, the uses for Walkin’Bags are endless! And you'll get where you're going with less effort and less stress. I know because I invented Walkin'Bag and I use it every day.”
