Carry-on Information
What is Carry-on?
Carry-on baggage is, according to TSA, a small piece of luggage you take onboard the airplane with you. You are allowed one carry-on in addition to one personal item such as a laptop computer, purse, small backpack, briefcase, or camera case.
What is the airline carry on restriction?
Some general size and weight guidelines:
If an item, measured along its longest dimensions (including handles, wheels, runners, corner protectors, full pockets, etc.), is no greater than 14 x 9 x 22 inches, it may be referred to as a carry-on bag.
A 14 x 9 x 22-inch item will meet most domestic airlines’ carry-on size standards (obvious exceptions include small regional jets/commuter aircraft).
However, it is up to each individual air carrier as to whether the baggage fits the size restrictions for your flight. Please check with the air carrier prior to proceeding through the security checkpoints.
